	2 DAYS TRIP TO MTIULETI & KHEVI PROVINCES This tour leads us to Mtiuleti and Khevi provinces by the historic “Georgian Military Highway”. So called by Russian King Alexander I, this route actually dates from before the first century BC and is still important as one of the only links to Russia through the Caucasus Mountains. Day 1. Tbilisi - Stephantsminda (Former Kazbegi) - Gudauri Drive through the alpine meadows and fields of yellow Rhododendron. In picturesque Truso Gorge enjoy jeep tour; After lunch with local dumpling "Khinkali", which will be served at a local family, visit Gergety Trinity church (14th cc) the main altar of Khevi province, located on top of Gergeti Hill; If lucky with weather, see beautiful views of snow-capped mountain Kazbek (Mkinvartsveri), an extinct volcano reaching to 5047 meter, overlooking Stepantsminda. In late afternoon drive to ski resort Gudauri. Dinner and overnight in Gudauri; Day 2. Gudauri - Tbilisi After breakfast have a jeep tour in Khada gorge; Explore "The Land of Sixty Towers", walk and trek in beautiful nature; enjoy astonishing views of old villages, ancient fortresses, and alpine-zone plants.
