So called by Russian King Alexander I, this route actually dates from before the first century BC and is still important as one of the only links to Russia through the Caucasus Mountains. We will travel to Khada gorge, mentioned in historical annals as the gorge of 60 towers. This is one of the most picturesque passages that follow the Aragvi River.
