The highlands of Svaneti offer unique trekking paths through history and traditions, medieval towers and dwelling complexes, old village fortifications full of myths and legends. While hiking to glaciers, mountain likes and waterfalls enjoy breathtaking scenery of intact nature, variety of landscapes: lush forests, deep mountain gorges and glaciers.

  • Day 1:

    Arrival in Tbilisi; met and assisted at the airport.

  • Day 2:

    Tbilisi – Mtskheta – Kutaisi; drive to Kutaisi; en route visit Mtskheta UNESCO site and Uplistsikhe cave town, dating to the 1 st millennium BC.

  • Day 3:

    Kutaisi – Mazeri; explore Kutaisi, the capital of legendary Colchis. Continue to Mazeri via Zugdidi. These ancient settlements are known for their medieval towers and impressive surroundings.

  • Day 4:

    Becho valley-Mestia; hike along the Dolra river to Dolra waterfalls. Enjoy magnificent views of mount Ushba. In the afternoon drive to Mestia. (17km.elevation 500up/down)

  • Day 5:

    Mestia – Ushguli; drive to Ushguli via villages of Ipari and Kala. Enjoy beautiful views of two peaked Mt. Ushba. Hike up to Lagurka church. Continue to Ushguli fortified village and UNESCO site located at 2200m. (3km.elevation 350 up/down)

  • Day 6:

    Ushguli – Shkhara glacier – Mestia; trek towards the foot of Mt. Shkhara 5203 m. The most braves can try to cross the icy river and springs. In the afternoon drive back to Mestia. (16km. elevation 550 up/down)

  • Day 7:

    Mestia – Koruldi Lakes – Mestia; enjoy the panoramic view of Koruldi Lakes 2740 m and hike in the area rich with the endemic flowers and other vegetation. In the afternoon explore Mestia and its museum treasures. (8km. elevation 600 m up/down)

  • Day 8:

    Mestia – Tbilisi; full day drive from Mestia to Tbilisi.

  • Day 9:

    Tbilisi Sightseeing Tour; explore the capital founded by the King Vakhtang Gorgasali in 5 th c, the city is extraordinary for its turbulent history, elegant and remarkable architecture destroyed and restored through centuries but keeping its unique style and traditions.

  • Day 10:

    Departure; transfer to the airport.
